  • WHAT IS THE KNOT STANDARD GUARANTEE?

    In the rare case that you are not satisfied with your order, our Concierge Team will quickly make any alterations required, and adjust your pattern for all future orders. If you are not located near our showrooms, we will reimburse up to $100 for local alterations, or remake your entire garment free of charge.

  • How are Knot Standard suits constructed?

    Each Knot Standard garment is precision-cut and handsewn from fine Italian and English suiting fabrics. We build your suit by using a digital pattern of your body designed specifically to fit your body shape. Your fabric selection is then cut with computerized, laser machines using a single piece of cloth. Your individual pattern is saved digitally, so that your next suit, shirt, or blazer can be made exactly the same.

  • How long does it take to make a custom suit?

    The turnaround time is four to six weeks.

  • What fabrics do you use?

    We offer over 7,000 fabrics from world-renowned mills such as Loro Piana, Ariston, and Dormeuil. Read more about our fabric mills or ask your Style Advisor which fabrics would be best for you.

  • How should I wash my Knot Standard garments?

    To ensure the longevity of your garments, please follow the care instructions included with your order.

  • What type of garments does Knot Standard make?

    Knot Standard is a custom menswear brand. We make suits, tuxedos, shirts, sweaters, trousers, blazers, shorts, and more.

Shipping, Returns & Services

  • Does Knot Standard ship internationally?

    We ship globally to all countries. Our international shipping fee is $30. All orders are shipped via express air with the leading companies: UPS, DHL, Aramex, and FedEx. However, we cannot deliver to PO boxes.

  • Can I rush my order?

    We do offer a shipping rush fee of $75, which takes about a week off the overall turnaround time. For rush orders, please email our Concierge Team to confirm at [email protected]

  • What if my suit or other custom garment does not fit – how can I get it altered?

    We are here to help. Get in touch with us as soon as possible through our Concierge Team or your Style Advisor so we can work to accommodate your needs.

    If you need any alterations after you receive your order:
    You can return the item to us and our tailors will do the work needed at no extra cost.
    Our Concierge Team can help you locate the best tailor in your area to perform any alterations, which will be reimbursed up to $100.

  • What is your return policy?

    As every garment we make is made to order for each customer, we are unable to offer returns. In the rare case that you are not satisfied with your order, our Concierge team will work with you at your leisure to ensure that your order always exceeds your expectations.

  • How far in advance should I order before a special occasion like a wedding?

    We ask for a 90 days lead time prior to a wedding date or special occasion. We recommend working with a Style Advisor to perfect your custom look.

  • Are there special rates for wedding parties?

    Yes, we offer 15% off like products for groups of four or more.

Measuring

  • What is the largest size you can customize?

    All our products are customized and tailored according to individual measurements. However, the maximum size we can accommodate is a 55-inch chest.

  • How do I get measured for a custom suit when buying online?

    Visit any of our Knot Standard showrooms to get measured by a Style Advisor. Alternatively, if you are not located near one of our showrooms please follow our measurement guides and live chat with a Style Advisor.

  • Can I use measurements taken by my own tailor?

    We recommend you work with a Knot Standard Style Advisor or follow our measurement guides. Our measuring methods are specific to Knot Standard and may differ from those taken by a conventional tailor. If you do visit your tailor, provide the tailor with our measurement guides for greater accuracy.

  • Can I base my measurements on a favorite suit that I own?

    No. To build a digital pattern of your body designed specifically to fit your body shape work with a Knot Standard Style Advisor or follow our measurement guides.

    Founded in 2010, Knot Standard is a menswear brand that creates custom menswear garments. We are located in New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Francisco, and Bloomingdale’s 59th Street.

  • What is the Knot Standard Guarantee?

  • Where are your suits and other garments constructed?

    Our fabrics are directly from mills in Italy and England, then constructed in our master tailoring facilities worldwide.

  • What does an appointment entail?

    Our appointments are a truly custom experience. You will walk through over 70 customizations, over 7,000 fabrics, and get over 26 measurements to ensure the best experience and the best garment. Our appointments usually last between 45 minutes to one hour.

  • Do you offer packages?

  • Can I supply my own fabrics?

    We, unfortunately, cannot accommodate using your own suit fabrics. However, we do offer over 7,000 different fabric options.

  • What customizations does Knot Standard offer?
