Cocktail Attire
Likely the most common dress code for weddings these days. Halfway between a truly formal dress code and casual attire, Cocktail styles should be sharp and purposeful - and that almost always means a classic suit as your outfit’s anchor point.
Destination, season, and your personality will come into play, but we recommend a darker suit, tie, and dress shoes here. Push your personality through in the hues you select for your suit, shirt, and tie, and consider patterns, texture, and seasonally relevant fabrics. Custom options for lapel, shirt collar, and the fit of your suit will shine through and set you apart. Your suit jacket should be made with a natural shoulder, half or fully canvassed, but experiment with the interior–choose partial lining for a warm weather wedding or event, and full lining for cooler climes. Consider a knit, cashmere, or wool tie, depending on the season. Oxfords with socks are never wrong, but we’ll allow a nice pair of loafers without socks any time.

Generally, you should opt for a more casual, unconstructed look in the summer months. This includes a casual shoulder, unlined jacket interior for breathability, and maybe a contrasting button choice to stand out. As summer weddings and events almost always lean into their less formal side, you would do well to consider leaving your dress shoes at home in favor of a nice pair of unlined loafers for a classic (but very cool) look.
